Microdermabrasion Pre-Treatment Instructions

Patients should NOT be treated with the following:

Recent cosmetic surgeries, laser resurfacing, permanent makeup

Botox or Collagen injections in the last 14 days

Allergies or sensitivities to products or ingredients

Pregnancy or breastfeeding

Herpes Simlplex, warts, raised moles, skin tags or keloid scarring

Hyperpigmentation tendencies

Use of Accutane in the last 12 months

Use of steroid like prednisone

Autoimmune diseases such as lupus or fibromyalgia

Diabetes or Epilepsy

Inflames rosacea or acne

Infectious disease or untreated skin cancer

Radiation or chemo therapy in the last 12 months

Keratosis

Fragile capillaries

Sunburn or irritated skin

Dermatitis, Psoriasis or Eczema

Microdermabrasion/other peels within the last 2 weeks

One (1) week prior to treatment, the following treatments and products should be avoided:

Waxing, depilatories, electrolysis, or laser hair removal on treated area Botox¸¢ī & Dermal Filler Injections on or around the treated area Exfoliating masques, loofahs, and other coarse sponges

Five (5) days prior to treatment, discontinue use of the following products:

Tretinoin or any retinoic acid derivatives ( Renova, Refissa, Retinol, Atralin, Avita, Tazorac or Avage, Ziana), Azelex, or Differin

 

Avoid 24-48 hours prior to treatment

Sun exposure/Tanning

Benzoyl Peroxide or exfoliating with glycolic acid

 

Day of treatment

Men avoid shaving or wearing cologne on your face/neck..

Clients with a history of recurrent herpes outbreaks should be treated with ValtrexĀ® on the morning of the treatment and continue as prescribed.
